The foundation’s mission is to inspire the lives of young people, teach them always to ask themselves, “Why Not?” and help them to build resilience and never give up. It provides resources to set children and their communities up for continued success. The foundation’s mission reflects Ting’s values and focus on providing education, healthcare, and community service opportunities for underprivileged children.

Ting’s philanthropic endeavors extend beyond the “Why Not Foundation.” A familiar face at various charity events, he demonstrates a steadfast commitment to making a difference. His presence at prestigious gatherings like the “Knights of Charity Gala” in Cannes, France, highlights Eddie Ting’s dedication to supporting causes that are close to his heart. One of the world’s most important charity platforms, the “Knights of Charity Gala” is a night dedicated to generosity and commitment to essential humanitarian rights. The 2024 “Knights of Charity Gala” was held at the Château de la Croix des Gardes and hosted by Sharon Stone and Orlando Bloom. It featured performances by Andrea Bocelli, Lisa Stansfield, Robin Thicke, Mark Ronson, and Martin Solveig.

A Lifelong Sports Enthusiast

Edwin Ting’s diverse interests and passions include his lifelong support of his beloved Dallas Stars and Cowboys. You can find Ting rooting for the Stars at the American Airlines Center, catching the Cowboys at AT&T Stadium, or simply enjoying the camaraderie of a watch party with friends and colleagues.
